Ta-Duh! It's Tuesday and this is my first TOOT! (Well, ok, if I'm honest there have been others but let's just keep that private, shall we?) =)
I had plans to get this out earlier today, but LIFE happened so better late than not at all. Also, this is going to be a test to see if my feed is working properly, but I thought I'd go ahead and take the opportunity to share a cute little story about my daughter:
She is almost 1 1/2 (or 17mo to be precise) and saying new things all the time. It's so much fun, I LOVE being her mom! Not too long ago she was in her very girly (pink explosion) excer-saucer just hanging out like we do in the mornings. I was reading or checking email or something studious I'm sure rather than just sitting there in my pj's wishing I was still in bed and I hear her whispering. I look over at her out of the corner of my not wanting to disrupt what I am sure to be a very cute moment. She has both of her hands cupping either side of this flower attachment that has a 2" mirror on one side of it looking at herself from approximately 3" away (or as close as she could get and still see her reflection;). First, she giggled then she repeatedly whispered "Hi" several times before she looked up and noticed I was watching her then smiled real big. It was super CUTE!
Since then, I have observed her doing the same thing in windows and then again this morning in my room in front of one of those tall wardrobe mirrors placed against the wall. I had leaned a couple of my pillows in front of it, which she thought were conveniently placed there for her to lean on while staring at her reflection in the mirror. Saying "Hi... hi baby" and then following it up with her rendition of "Row Your Boat". I'd like to say I don't know where she gets this vanity, but I'm afraid I do... her father, of course ;) (I often catch him doing the same thing - usually something other than "Row Your Boat", but not always ;) -just teasing Big Toots =)
